How to Use a Scooter: step-by-step guide
A scooter takes balance and a good stop. Watch the video, then practice in a flat, open space.
Put on your helmet and buckle the strap.
Stand the scooter up and hold both handlebar grips.
Put your stronger foot on the deck and keep the other foot on the ground.
Push off the ground with your back foot and let the scooter roll.
Rest your pushing foot behind the front one while you coast.
Lean and turn the handlebars gently to steer.
Stop by stepping on the back brake over the rear wheel, or by dragging your foot.
Helpful tips
