Brockway Mountain Drive near Copper Harbor is a 9.5-mile scenic ridge road that climbs to one of the highest points between the Allegheny Mountains and the Rockies, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Superior, the Keweenaw Peninsula forests, and on clear days, the shoreline of Minnesota to the north. The drive is particularly celebrated during spring hawk migration — one of the best raptor-watching sites in the eastern United States — and during fall color season when the surrounding hardwood forests blaze with vivid hues. The summit provides a stunning vantage point for sunsets over Lake Superior and is a beloved landmark of the Upper Peninsula's Copper Country.
