This is the simple four in hand knot, which works for school, work, and dress up occasions.
Put the tie around your collar with the wide end hanging longer on your right.
Cross the wide end over the narrow end.
Bring the wide end under the narrow end and back across the front.
Pull the wide end up through the loop at your neck.
Push it down through the front knot you just made.
Hold the narrow end and slide the knot up to your collar.
