How to hang a shirt: step-by-step guide

Hanging shirts keeps them wrinkle free and easy to find.

  1. Take a hanger from the closet and hold it with the hook pointing up.

  2. Unbutton the top two buttons of the shirt if it has them.

  3. Slide the hanger in through the bottom of the shirt or through the collar.

  4. Line up each shoulder seam with the end of the hanger.

  5. Button the top button, smooth the shirt flat, and hang it on the rod.
