About This Location

Cadillac Commons at 100 S Lake Mitchell Dr is a beautifully redeveloped lakeside public space in downtown Cadillac, created through a years-long public-private collaboration that transformed a nondescript parking area into a vibrant year-round destination along the shores of Lake Cadillac. The commons features the Shay Locomotive historic display celebrating Cadillac's logging heritage, the Chris Eggle Memorial Fountain, seasonal events including the Cadillac Festival of the Arts and Craft Beer Festival, ADA-accessible pathways, and the new northern trailhead of the 92-mile Fred Meijer White Pine Trail — completed in 2022 and dedicated as a Pure Michigan Trail Town. It is a central gathering space connecting downtown businesses with the lakefront.
