About This Location

Bayfront Park is a 25-acre waterfront park along Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey, developed on a former industrial site and maintained by the City of Petoskey. The park features 7,800 feet of public shoreline, a central promenade and clocktower, the Fred Freidli Children's Playground, a pier, a resource center, and the Little Traverse History Museum. A pedestrian tunnel connects the park to downtown Petoskey's Gaslight District, and the Little Traverse Wheelway runs through the park, linking to a 28-mile paved non-motorized trail spanning Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs. The rocky shoreline near the Petoskey Breakwall is a popular spot for hunting Petoskey stones. Pets are welcome on leash.
