Business Description: The U-46 Planetarium was added to the original Elgin National Watch Company Observatory in 1963. Over 1 million Elgin U-46 students have experienced a program here to enrich their classroom lessons. The ENWC Observatory was built in 1910 to determine the exact, correct time to a fraction of a second for the Watch Factory a few blocks away.
Additional Accessibility Information: Staff are trained in disability awareness/autism awareness, Entrance is wheelchair accessible, and accessible restroom. Two to 3 wheelchairs can fit under the dome for a presentation. The single bathroom is wheelchair accessible.
